Lutheran Special School, in partnership with Milwaukee Lutheran High School and Martin Luther High School, offers the following programs to serve special needs students at the high school level.
Transition Education Program - Milwaukee Lutheran High School
A continuation of special education services can be obtained through the Tranistion Ed. Program. Similar to a resource room, students can attend the program up to four periods a day for science, social studeis, math and English. A Guidance Counselor, staffed by LSSES, works with students (TO WHAT?) . This program was begun by LSSES and is now operated by Milwaukee Lutheran High School.
School to Work - Milwaukee Lutheran High SchoolMany students need the skills that will prepare them for work after high school. The School to Work program helps students develop these skills in preparation for entering the work force or enrolling in a technical school.
With the help of grants and the generous support of donors, and working with Milwaukee Lutheran High School, students in this program have the opportunity to participate in Work/Study internships at job sites in the community.
Resource Study Hall - Martin Luther High School

- Tutoring in subject areas
- Guidance in developing study strategies and organizational skills

- Keeping parents informed of student progress
This program helps students with study skills, test taking, organizational skills, motivation and memorization. Students are recommended to the program based on their grades or the recommendation of an advisor.
